Deepa Agarwal holds a Masters Degree in Economics. She brings with her a unique blend of experience and insight from the corporate and academic sectors.
As a Visiting Faculty at TISS, she worked extensively with self-help women groups to address their challenges. This marked the beginning of her interest in working on gender issues.
In the corporate sector, Deepa has handled an interesting portfolio mix across the areas of Research, Learning and Development, Diversity and Employee Wellness. Her corporate stint includes working at Marico and Quinnox, where she spearheaded initiatives relating to employee wellness and gender diversity and inclusion, which involved creating handbooks and transition notes for working mothers, education and awareness sessions on Prevention of Sexual Harassment at the workplace and Gender Sensitisation sessions.
A large part of Deepa’s experience of more than 15 years, has been in the area of training, both within India as well as internationally. She has designed and delivered programs across levels in the areas of Leadership Development, Personal Effectiveness, Emotional Intelligence and many other behavioural programs. Her programs are highly interactive and bring in an element of self-reflection in them. She uses a combination of experiential out-bound activities, improve acting, relevant videos and games, which make her sessions very effective and introspective in nature.
Deepa’s training programs have been very well received in South Africa, Egypt, Dubai and Bangladesh. She has presented and published papers on Team Emotional Intelligence.
Deepa is currently pursuing a Diploma course in Counseling from the TISS and penning her first fiction.
